3 Chord Thursday Songs of Faith

On Thursday 21st December 2023, the last time we meet this year, we will celebrate the festive season with songs of faith and worship such as hymns, carols, meditations, chants, and songs of any faith. What’s the most rousing hymn of all time? What’s the most famous hymn? The oldest? Check this list of 50 most loved hymns. There are also famous classical pieces whose tunes are borrowed for religious services, such as Sibelius’ Finlandia and Holst’s The Planets. Here is a list of 25 such hymns from Seventh Day Adventist Hymnal. Here’s another list of tunes and hymns you may recognize.

Join us in Zoom or in person at the Walter Baker Building in Boston, Massachusetts. After this one hour song session, we will have a break and set up for Holiday Songs Workshop, which is hybrid (you can join in Zoom or in-person). BONUS! Download the free holiday songs crossword puzzle.

There’s no warm-up lesson for this final session of the year. Instead, we will announce the 24 themes for 2024. If you attend this session, you will have a chance to have a say. Don’t miss this final session. DRESS CODE: festive colors! Treat yourself to a glass of wine, mulled wine, spiked eggnog, or hot spiced cider.
