I am very pleased to announce the release of Book 4 from the main curriculum of Pick Pluck Play! ukulele series. I wrote the music and posted a blog nearly a year ago. It’s the 10th book I’ve published on Amazon, not counting the re-release of Love America.
Book colors and covers
They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but when it comes to first impressions, details matter.
After agonizing over the color palette for Book 4 into the wee hours of the morning, I went to sleep with an uneasy feeling. Something wasn’t right, and I couldn’t bring myself to announce the new release just yet.
The next morning, it hit me: a book cover should be something you want to marvel at.
After drawing inspiration from visiting a stunning watercolor exhibition by Kevin Gillespie at the Needham Public Library yesterday, I took a fresh stab at the colors.
Have a look at the evolution of the cover renditions below.
