Don’t Miss Out! Early bird gets the worm: registration open for new classes

Below is what I sent out to my mailing list on Sunday 24th May 2020.

Dear Ukulele Enthusiast

How are you? Are your fingers sore from playing the ukulele? Are you suffering from UAS?

New vocabulary such as “quarantine uke” , “zoom bombing”, or “see you in zoom” have now entered the vernacular since the pandemic began.

Creativity brews rife in our “Songs in the Time of Corona” series on Fridays with new parodies and 20-second handwash songs, as well as original songs. Meanwhile, each Thursday at 3 pm EDT, we explore three chord songs on a certain theme or era for an hour in Zoom. Once a month we ukulele players tempt singers all over the world to take part in our two-hour Global Karoake Party in Zoom. It’s is our way of staying connected and sane.

Every day there are exciting song sessions and jam sessions to join: Beatles on Monday nights, Tuesdays at Two in Philadelphia, Morristown Ukulele in New Jersey on Wednesday nights, UkeJams in California, Picky Picky on Thursdays, and Danno’s Online Talent Show on Saturdays — all in ZOOM. It’s traveling around the world without going anywhere!

I caught the tail end of a virtual ukulele festival in Ashokan today, something impossible to do before the lockdown. Lil Rev is giving his famous workshops in Facebook and Youtube Live each Monday and Thursday evening from Mead Library.

So not to miss out on the fun, join my bootcamp, strum workshops, or fingerstyle classes, all starting very soon, with an info /taster session for Low G Ukes on Memorial Day Monday May 25th. Special rate for former students and early birds – don’t wait! Register via Eventbrite or Google Form

Finally, UkuGlobal is doing a flash sale on selected sopranos – free shipping in the USA — only for a few more days. One of my contacts wants to sell her soprano uke with tuner in soft case (including delivery near Boston) for $40. You can’t beat that. Let me know if you’re interested.

Hope to see you soon in Zoom!
