A few guests will fly. Some will drive. Many will take the train. Who will cycle?
There are more bicycles than people living in the Netherlands.
Most people own two bicycles: one for everyday use and one for the weekend.
Cyclists rule the road; even pedestrians kowtow to them.
There are special lanes for cyclists and they (sorry drivers!) get the right of way.

Amazon Wedding Registry, a suggestion

Other suggestions: contribution towards the honeymoon in Dec/Jan or the new life in Utrecht in Spring 2006

Verlanglijst: many people have asked "where are you registered?" or "what do you want for your wedding?" or "what can we give you?"

Antwoort (answer): "Your presence is your gift. We appreciate that you have rearranged your schedule on such short notice to come and celebrate with us.
Truth is, we have no space in the home we live in now (pictured above with the scaffolding in front),
but we will have plenty of needs, wants, wishes in the new home (pictured above, with the red door).
Our new home in Utrecht will require one or two months of renovation early next year.
We would prefer not to accept gifts which take up space, a luxury we don't have now.
You're most welcome to contribute towards a future gift."
